Monday, July 13 : After some strong french coffees and huge sandwiches we continued our travel. During the day we passed Gex, Annexy, Chambery, and south of Grenoble we hit the N85 "Route Napoleon", a great ride along the river Drac. We passed Gap and finally reached the area of Tallard where we found a campsite for the night.Tuesday, July 14 : from Tallard we traveled eastwards following the river Durance, passed the Lac de Serre-Poncon and continued via D900. We crossed the french-italian border at the Col de Larche, almost ran into a group of donkeys and reached Borgo S. Dalmazzo, from where the E74 brought us back to France and all the way south to Monte Carlo. We had a brief view at all the yachts and ships in the harbour, and on the red/white curbs we recognized that we rode the Formula1 race track for a few kilometers. But the city was to crowded for our taste and so we continued westwards to Villeneuve were we stayed for the night.
